Gift Ideas for Your Bookish Friends

Happy December Friends!

I decided to try out something new with this first blog of the month (the start of some new things for The Weather Writer overall). I want to give some recommendations on products for the book loving people in your life (or yourself, I don't judge).

The way this is different, is some of the links included in the blog will be Amazon Affiliate links, so if you could give them a click or even look at purchasing that way I would really appreciate it. Other links will be to Etsy shops, which is definitely my preferred way to shop nowadays.

Bookish Trope Stickers

Starting off my list with a little self promotion, I recently started making stickers on Etsy that represent both the blog and bookish tropes. If you are interested, follow the link here and support the blog and me. I do really appreciate it!

The link will be attached the the picture!

Flexilight Reading Light

This is a fun bookmark/light combo that is perfect when trying to read a book in bed while not disturbing many others. Though I wish mine looked like a penguin, it is just a plain black. It has a flexible body that makes it really easy to maneuver and I've really enjoyed using it when I don't want to leave the overhead light on.

Book Page Holder

These things are so cool and I've recently fallen in love with mine from this Etsy shop. I bought mine at Black Garnet Bookshop, but this is from a local creator in MN and they are honestly so helpful when reading bigger books and trying to balance it in your hand without hurting your thumb.

I highly recommend and there are so many pretty options that are made of resin with different flowers and designs.

Book Nook Projects

I have yet to do one of these on my own, but I've seen them all over the internet and they look super cool. These are little nooks that show scenes from either books or other forms of media that are meant to fill those empty spaces on your shelf (if you have any).

They look super fun, and I'm excited to try one out, especially if I ever have room on my shelves.

Blind Date with A Book!

If you are ever looking for a book related gift for someone and don't know what they like a blind date with a book is a great option, especially if you know their favorite genres! This gives you chance to give them something that feels handpicked, with the knowledge of knowing another reader did it!

This Etsy shop is also based out of Minnesota, by another book reviewer I've recently become friends with! She also has a lot of cute bookish stickers on her shop that should be looked at too!

Clear Kindle Cover

So, after acquiring many bookish stickers or even fun bookmarks, you need somewhere to put them! If you reader has a Kindle (which as a 'paper book' person, I love my Kindle too) having a clear case is a great way to show off those stickers, sometimes without having to pull the backs off. I've seen a lot of creative ideas done with clear Kindle cases online.

Do you have any bookish items you love?

And good luck on completing your TBRs for the year and finding gifts!
