Most people tend to be overwhelmed by the end of the year, between the holidays and trying to finish your reading goal, it is nice to read a cozy romance instead of some high fantasy tome. Here is my list of some holiday romances I've read that I think you might enjoy!
A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone
I think this book has been mentioned a few times in my last few blogs. It follows plus-sized adult film star Bee Hobbes as she takes on a role in a holiday film for the Hope Network (which definitely would not accept what she does for a living).
Her costar is former boyband member Nolan Shaw, who has his own secrets he is trying to hide. But when Nolan recognizes Bee from her online content, and the two start to catch feelings, it becomes harder and harder to keep their secrets out of the public eye.
This book was really cute and definitely has some spicy scenes if that is you vibe! A good book to escape the chaos of the holidays for a little bit and just be in their world and drama.
Kiss Her Once For Me by Alison Cochrun
This book is one of the first I ever reviewed on this blog!
A year ago, Ellie had a holiday meet-cute with a girl at a bookstore that she hasn't seen since.
She know works at a coffee shop, trying to pull her life back together. When Andrew, the shop's landlord, comes up with a wild idea, that could get Ellie the money she needs, she agrees. All she has to do is convince his family they are engaged and in love, so he can get his inheritance
But when they get to the family's cabin, Ellie is surprised to learn that Andrew's sister is the girl from the year before. Now she has to convince Jack and herself that she is with Andrew, even though she can't seem to forget about Jack.
Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey
I'm going to start out by saying that this book is for someone, but was not super for me.
Melody and Beat are the children of the rock duo Steel Birds, who broke up shortly before they were born. Though everyone expected them to be best friends, the fall out between their mom's lead them to only meeting once as teenagers.
When Beat starts getting blackmailed, he is in need of money to pay off the person, and decides to join a reality show about getting the Steel Birds to perform together one more time. Melody is brought in to help with her mom but things don't go to plan as the two start falling for each other and try to navigate the world of being the children of rockstars.
Three Holidays and A Wedding by Uzma Jalaluddin and Marissa Stapley
Anna and Maryam meet as seatmates on a plane to Toronto, both traveling under the pressure of family. Anna is determined to make a good impression on her boyfriend's family, and Maryam's sister is getting married.
When the plane hits a rough patch of turbulence the two girls end up sharing secrets with eachother in the heat of the moment. Anna isn't sure if her boyfriend is perfect and Maryam wishes she could do her own thing. When Maryam's crush hears her a few rows back, she is terrified.
The plan then lands in a fairytale like Snow Falls, five hours from Toronto which is currently buried in the snow. The longer they are stuck in the town, the more they start to realize what is actually important to them.
I hope you enjoyed this small list of holiday books I've read this year!
